About Shri Narendra Modi

Shri Narendra Modi has served as Prime Minister of India since 2014 and began a third consecutive term in June 2024. Before entering national office, he served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. His public career has placed governance reform, infrastructure, technology, national development and India’s international standing at the centre of political debate. He is the first Prime Minister born after India attained independence. His tenure has also been defined by an emphasis on large-scale public programmes and an increasingly prominent Indian role in global affairs.
