About Shri Nitin Gadkari
Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari is the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and represents Nagpur in the Lok Sabha. His public career began in Maharashtra, where he served in the Legislative Council and as the state’s Minister for Public Works. He later served as National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and held Union responsibilities across shipping, water resources, rural development and small enterprises. He is closely associated with the expansion of highways, expressways and infrastructure-led development. His policy interests also include alternative fuels, logistics efficiency, road safety and sustainable mobility.
