About Shri Suresh Prabhu & Smt Uma Prabhu
Shri Suresh Prabhu is a former Union Cabinet Minister, parliamentarian and chartered accountant with extensive experience in economic and infrastructure policy. Across successive governments, he held portfolios including Railways, Commerce and Industry, Civil Aviation, Power, Environment and Forests, and Chemicals and Fertilizers. He also served as India’s Sherpa for the G20 and G7. His wife, Smt Uma Prabhu, has a professional background in media and has participated in social, cultural and community initiatives. The couple have appeared together at public and civic engagements while maintaining distinct professional identities. Shri Prabhu’s work has continued across education, sustainability, trade, transport reform and policy dialogue.
